The food was awesome and that is Ms Dee Schultze N Berg not Mr, as stated!
With deep sadness, the RFC wants to inform people of Gary (Gar) Burton's sudden passing.
Gary came to our club in 1986. He played a pivotal part in securing the club's first-ever premiership in 1986 and also played in the 1987 Grand final. Gary played a total of 38 senior games and coached the reserves for two years. He brought a more professional approach to our struggling club back in this era.
However, it was on the field he did his best work, a wonderful overhead mark who read the play superbly. His performance in the 1986 Grand Final can never be overstated rebounding the ball time and time again in the final quarter when Centrals were threatening.
His son Ty would also play in the 1992 premiership making Gary and Ty only a handful of father-and-son combinations to achieve premiership glory for our club.
Seen as a straight shooter with a quirky sense of humour his love of football was only superseded by his love of family.
Our love and support at this very sad time go to his wife Karen, sons Ty and Brett his daughter Tanya brother Ken, and their families
RIP Gar ... See MoreSee Less

Condolences to the Burton family Gar brought a lot of wisdom to roopena after a great career at centrals
Condolences to the Burton family. Had the pleasure to play with Gar in that 86 premiership and 87 year. Certainly was a great bloke to know. RIP. Gar.
Condolences to the Burton family, Gar was a great bloke, coach, footballer and fireman.
